Long-term prognosis after acute kidney injury requiring renal replacement therapy

Long-term prognosis after acute kidney injury requiring renal replacement therapy: "The results of our study support these data as the 3-year incidence of ESKD among our survivors was 10%. Notably, our patients with previous CKD had a 25% incidence of ESKD at 3 years. In addition, the prevalence of CKD was elevated with nearly one in two patients with no known CKD prior to AKI progressing to CKD within 3 years."
